Internal Marketplace
The internal marketplace lets consultants find open resource requests published by resource managers and apply to them directly. Applicants track their applications on the ‘My applications’ page, and the people configured as reviewers decide on each application.
Note: The internal marketplace is only visible to users whose role includes the internal-marketplace permission.
Browsing published requests
Open Internal marketplace from the menu to see all resource requests that are currently published and open. Each row shows the role, timeframe, capacity and, where your profile allows it, how well the request's requirements match your profile, including a Best fit indicator for the strongest matches and your availability in the request's timeframe.
Use the search field and the sort options (New, Best fit, Custom) to find relevant requests, and select a request to open its details.
Note: Depending on the tenant’s configuration, you may receive a daily email listing the requests newly published to the internal marketplace. It arrives at most once a day and only on days when something was published. You can switch it off for yourself under ‘Email notifications’ in your profile’s account settings (see: Notifications).
Applying to a request
On the request details page, click Apply to this request. The application form asks for:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Self-assessment | Rate your experience for each requirement of the request (Full match, Some experience, No experience). AI may pre-fill this from your profile match; adjust any value as needed. |
| Comment | An optional motivation text for the reviewers. |
| Available from / Available to | The period in which you are available for the request. |
Click Submit application to send it. The configured people are informed and, depending on the tenant's configuration, receive a review task (see: Candidate Suggestions).
My applications
The My applications page lists your applications with their status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Applied | Submitted and awaiting a decision. |
| Accepted | A reviewer accepted your application. |
| Rejected | A reviewer rejected your application, or it was rejected automatically, for example because the request closed or you were removed from its candidates. The reason is shown with the application whenever one was given or named by the automation. |
Select an application to see its details, including your self-assessment and, for rejected applications, the rejection reason.
You can take an application back with Withdraw as long as nobody has decided on it yet. Withdrawing deletes the application together with your self-assessment and removes it from the ‘My applications’ page; you can apply again afterwards. Once an application has been accepted or rejected, it stays on the page as a record of the decision. After a rejection you cannot apply to the same request again. Withdrawing while nobody has decided yet remains the only way to take an application back and apply again. A reviewer can still revert a decision with Undo decision (see Reviewing applications), which puts the application back to Applied.
Note: When a resource request is filled, withdrawn or taken off the internal marketplace, your open application for it is rejected automatically and you are informed by email. The email names the reason, and the same reason is shown with the application. An application you already hold a booking for is kept, except when the request itself is withdrawn, and an application a reviewer has already accepted always stays accepted.
Reviewing applications
Reviewers reach applications in two ways:
- On the resource request, the ‘Applications received’ view lists every application with Accept and Reject actions.
- As a review task on the ‘My tasks’ page, which opens the application directly for review. Which roles receive this task is configured per tenant (see: Candidate Suggestions).
Accepting or rejecting an application requires edit permission on the resource request. A rejection can include a reason, which the applicant sees, and a decision can be reverted with Undo decision on the request's applications view.
