Plan resources across a team
When you do this: you're staffing projects, anticipating bench time, or answering "who is free in Q3?" across a team or resource group.
Outcome: a clear view of bookings vs. capacity for the relevant window, with concrete decisions you can act on (extend a booking, move someone, raise a flag).
Steps
- Open the resource plan. Scope it to the team, resource group, or set of consultants you care about. → Resource Plan
- Check the working-time inputs that drive the "available" number: patterns, absences, planned vacation. → Working Time Patterns, Absences & Availability
- Review existing bookings against project demand. Each booking is tied to a project; missing demand usually means a project's resource requests are out of date. → Projects, Connecting Resource Requests to Projects
- Use the skill matrix to see who could do what across the team, useful when reassigning. → Skill Matrix
- For team-level navigation (whose profile to open, how the team is structured), use the teams views. → Navigating Teams, Resource Groups
Related scenarios
